On April Fool’s Day this year, Twitter posted that it is finally developing the long-awaited Tweet editing feature. Twitter has actually started testing the feature.

Most User Requested Features

On September 1, local time, Twitter’s official account (@Twitter) posted, “The edited tweet is being displayed because we are testing the edit button. So please rest assured.”
 

 
When the US media 9to5Mac asked Twitter about the details of the function test, the following response was returned.
 

This is the most requested feature, so we want to make sure it succeeds. Through testing, we want to quickly understand how this new feature is being used and how it might impact the way people read and write Tweets.

Editable only a few times for 30 minutes after the tweet is published

In this test, tweets can be edited several times during the 30 minutes after they are published. Edited Tweets will have an icon, timestamp and label as shown in the image. Users can tap this label to see the edit history for that post.
 
With the edit button, Twitter will make Tweets easier and more relatable, giving people more choice and control over how they can express themselves and contribute to the many conversations happening on the platform. It is expected that
